Brian M. Lucey

Brian M. Lucey is a professor at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. He was the editor-in-chief of the International Review of Economics & Finance from May 2019 to October 2025. At the end of 2025, three of his papers published in this journal were retracted as he handled the papers as an editor while also being an author.
Aside from the two retracted papers from the International Review of Economics & Finance journal, several other of Lucey's papers were retracted because he edited the papers himself while also being an author.
Lucey has published over 400 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, commentaries, etc. which have been cited more than 25,000 times, giving him an h-index of 75.
