Lotta Rain
Lotta Rain is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by. It was serialized in Shogakukan's manga magazine Monthly Ikki from April to September 2014, when the magazine ceased its publication, and the series was transferred to , where it ran from March 2015 to June 2017.
Plot
After the death of his mother, Hajime Tamai's life shatters when he witnesses his girlfriend, his sole emotional support, having an affair with his oppressive boss. Distraught, Hajime causes an accident while driving a bus during his duties and sustains major injuries. With nothing left, he is visited in the hospital by his father, who had abandoned the family fourteen years prior to be with another woman, and a stepsister he has never met, Hatsuho Yamaguchi. While his father proposes they live together, Hatsuho displays intense hostility toward Hajime. Despite his complicated feelings, and having nowhere else to go, Hajime reluctantly accompanies his father to start a new life.

Written and illustrated by, Lotta Rain was serialized in Shogakukan's manga magazine Monthly Ikki from April 25 to September 25, 2014, when the magazine ceased its publication. The series was transferred to Monthly Ikkis replacement, , where it ran from March 6, 2015, to June 7, 2017. Shogakukan collected its chapters in three volumes, released from August 10 to October 12, 2017.
Reception
The series was recommended by Japanese filmmaker Makoto Shinkai. The series ranked 17th, alongside Adrian Tomine's Killing and Dying and Ai Tanaka's Limbo the King, on "The Best Manga 2018 Kono Manga wo Yome!" ranking by Freestyle magazine.
