List of lakes of Wisconsin

There are over 15,000 lakes in Wisconsin. Of these, about 40 percent have been named. Excluding Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, Lake Winnebago is the largest lake by area, largest by volume and the lake with the longest shoreline. The deepest lake is Wazee Lake, at 350 feet. The deepest natural lake is Green Lake, at 237 feet. The largest man-made lake is Petenwell Lake. Many lakes have the same names, with over 150 named Mud Lake and over 100 named Bass Lake.
