Edith Brandt

Edith Brandt (15 December 1923 – 27 February 2007) is a German, East German, Weimar Republic, and Nazi Germany politician, cook, and teacher. She was born in Bernburg. She died in Halle (Saale).

Awards received include Patriotic Order of Merit in Gold, Clara Zetkin Medal, Humboldt Medal in Gold, Patriotic Order of Merit in Bronze, Patriotic Order of Merit in Silver, -, Handel Prize, Medal of Merit of Organs of the Ministry of the Interior in Gold, Patriotic Order of Merit (honor clasp), and Star of People's Friendship in Silver.
