Clemens Bauer

Clemens Bauer (16 December 1899 – 1 January 1984) is a German economic historian, historian of Modern Age, archivist, university teacher, historian, and economist. He was born in Ehingen. He died in Freiburg im Breisgau.

His employers include Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and University of Freiburg. Awards received include Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory the Great, Ring of Honour of the Görres society, and Order of Merit of North Rhine-Westphalia.
