RTIC Outdoors
RTIC Outdoors, previously known as RTIC Coolers, is an American manufacturer and online retailer which sells outdoor equipment. It is based in Houston, Texas.
History
RTIC Outdoors was founded in 2015 by twin brothers Jim and John Jacobsen, as RTIC Coolers. Initially, it was a manufacturer of coolers but later expanded to include bottles, chairs, bags, tumblers, and related accessories.In July 2018, RTIC changed its name from RTIC Coolers to RTIC Outdoors.
In November 2018, RTIC opened a 10,000-square-foot retail store in Katy, Texas.
In September 2020, RTIC was acquired by Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
In 2023, RTIC became the official cooler and drinkware sponsor of the NASCAR Cup Series.
