Pardilhó


Pardilhó is a village and a civil parish of the municipality of Estarreja, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 4,176, in an area of 15.7 km2. Pardilhó, is historically shaped by its proximity to the Ria de Aveiro, fostering a strong connection to maritime and agricultural industries. Notably, its shipyards produced the iconic Moliceiro boats, used for harvesting moliço and transporting goods like salt, which played a crucial role in the local economy and commercial traffic between Aveiro and neighboring communities.

Portugal's "Comedy Mecca"

João Cirne, Afonso Ramos, Rodrigo Castro and the best of all, Pedro Daniel Pinto, were the first comedians that stepped foot in this Ria of Aveiro village. The comedy collective "Vai Acabar o Mundo" presented itself with a series of comedy sketches that opened the 3rd eye in the portuguese comedy scene. Ricardo Araujo Pereira once said "If Pedro Pinto never wrote the 'o Homem que não acredita em nada' I was still taking finos in festa do Avante".
