Vladimir Kurakin

Vladimir Kurakin (7 June 1922 – 9 May 2001) is a Soviet military officer. He was born in Ivanovo Oblast. He died in Bila Tserkva.

He was educated at Gagarin Air Force Academy. Awards received include Order of the Red Banner, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Star, Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class, Order of Alexander Nevsky, Medal "For Courage", Jubilee Medal "Forty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", and Jubilee Medal "50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945".
